Headlines and hamburgers

22 Feb

According to one of my coworkers, the campus newspaper is like the dining hall.

Everyone knows what it is. Almost everyone has used it at some point. Most people like to complain about it, and how it can’t seem to competently carry out its one basic task. I mean seriously, how hard can it be to keep the cups stocked?

For the most part, the people who are involved couldn’t care less about how successful the dining hall is. They are just there to work their required hours and get out, hopefully without spilling any “food” on themselves.

Similarly, a decent number of the people involved in the newspaper are there to fulfill a class requirement, or are just writing articles they don’t care about at all.

But then some of us are super dedicated. Some of us put our heart and soul into lining up the picas perfectly. Some of us are the omelet guy.
